For a bigger boost, I challenge you all to do this every day from now until Sunday (or just 5 days total). By then, you will have a list of 10 small things and 5 big things that you are grateful for in your life. Keep this list handy, add to it often, and reflect on it once in awhile or whenever you can use it. Chances are 1) you have a lot of to be grateful for that may not be on top of mind all the time, and 2) you must be pretty awesome to deserve so much wonderful in your life.
Writing things down (which includes typing) make them feel more real and significant; that's a really important part to this exercise. Also, science shows that practicing gratitude is linked to greater happiness, so give it a shot.
